Time for some updates !!!

I went for the Anime Festival Asia yesterday and it was not bad. The place was rather small though. It is my first time there and I went with my brother, Tan Yuan and his sister. I bought the $15 ticket to gain stage access. I spent most of my time in the merchandise area to see what kind of unique stuff they have on sale. I wanted to buy a Evangelion Nerv windbreaker, however it sold out.

To my disappointment though, there is nothing I want on sale. So I went on ahead and bought myself a Code Geass Cushion with C.C on it for $20. No, don't think dirty. I'm just buying it for collection and uniqueness sake.

There were lots of cosplayers too, there were all pretty nice. They spend big bucks on it just like how I spend big bucks on my hobby models. XD

I think I will go there again next year, without high expectations of course....

Second week into the new semester. I am amazed at how time flies. It is going to be 5 more weeks to the common test and it's hello to another 2 week holiday. The timetable I have for this semester is pretty good. It's not really stressful at the moment.

This Saturday I will be going to Bishan Home for a community service to wrap up my project. I will need to do another presentation about the entire project too. I hope that everything will be fine and fun. :)

Alright, time for some updates.

School starts today and I hope that the semester will be fun. I am trying to pull my GPA up as high as possible. I want to graduate with a decent GPA. ;D

I came back from Japan on the 22nd October and it was incredibly fun. I did lot of shopping for my plastic models. The food, scenery and historical sites are nice. The culture there is as good as usual, I like their culture. The hotel I stayed in was a 3 1/2 star hotel but the service and design was so beautiful I think it deserve more stars. The weather was pretty cooling, about 16 degree Celsius.

The things over there are pretty expensive if you bother to convert the price tag from Japanese yen to Singapore dollars. However, the things over there are worth spending on.

7 hours flight to Japan can be extremely boring. I watched 4 movies on board before I reached the destination. However, I didn't really mind because ANA is a good a airline.

I will definitely be flying back to Japan in the future and shop more. XD

After returning from Vietnam for 2 weeks, it is time to fly to Japan, Tokyo. The main objective there is to take photos, videos and eat !!!! My flight is at 2330 (GMT+8). Most probably I will be reaching Japan at around 0600~0700. I hope that it will be a fun trip, it has been 2 years since I last went to Japan. XD

Today, I managed to drag myself out of the house ever since I came back from Vietnam. I had a hair cut and bought my HD-HVR 1900 Hauppauge TV recorder from Funan. However, everything seems so slow even though life in Singapore is suppose to be fast. I grew impatient waiting a train for 6 mins which never happened to me....

Anyway, pictures of my new recorder !!! I can finally record my gameplay off PS3 and some of the TV shows I can not afford to miss !!! XD

Although I am not really enthusiastic about this function but this little thing is capable of turning my laptop into a TV ! It is a TV tuner and I can record it while I'm watching it ! I guess spending $250 on this small thing is a good investment. I thought of getting the Hauppauge HD PVR. However,I think I will start off with something small first. =D

Vietnam !!!

To my surprise, this is my 200th post !!! Initially I started blogging for fun, I never thought that my blog would survive this long and what's more ? I am back from Vietnam !!! What a coincidence. ;D

Anyway, the 2 weeks I spent in Vietnam was a good one. I went to Ben Tre Province. The scenery there is very beautiful, especially the sky, it is totally different from the sky you see in Singapore. The people there are very friendly and hospitable. The lifestyle over there is very simple and different from ours. Although, it is a rural area, the people over there are very happy. Personally, I adapt very quickly. So I do not really have much of a problem fitting into the lifestyle over there.

Of course, I didn't went there just to relax. My friends and I went with the school on a YEP expedition with YMCA to build a courtyard for a primary school and teach the student English. Although I was in the construction team all the time, I sometimes take a look at the classes during my break. The students over there are very eager to learn, unlike us, who complains almost everything in school. Everyday, I see students fight, however, it seems more like a bonding session for them rather than a violent fight. The construction is very new to all of us, it can be tiring but it is nothing I can't do. >=)

I met four YMCA Vietnam volunteers over there,Phuong ,My ,Bang and Cherry. They spent all 14 days with us doing the same thing and translating for us. They are all very friendly and nice people. I really appreciate their help and they made this trip an enjoyable one.

Of course, it's is not just my class who went there. There people from MOT, ME and PDI. They also made this trip an enjoyable one. I met new friends and bonded deeper with my current ones. The trip was such a fun one that I don't mind extending it.

At the airport and the cultural exchange night, people teared and cried, it is hard to say goodbye after spending 2 weeks together. Although the trip has ended, all of us will hold such memories dearly. Will we meet again ? Will we go back to Vietnam once again ? No one knows whether or not it will happen, we will just pray for answer....

I am currently updating this from vietnam. Vietnam has been very fun ever since I have come here. The entire team is currently building a courtyard in a primary school. The work is pretty tiring during the first few days and I was having muscle ache. However, it is fun because of the awesome people in the team, including 2 lecturer, 1 ymca staff and 4 ymca volunteer from vietnam.

The food here is very nice, especially the fish and egg. The people are very friendly and the condition here isn't so bad as what people says. Although the rural areas are abit dirty but I can just brush it aside. The scenery here is nice and the weather is a little bit better than singapore.

I am having alot of fun and I will treasure the remaining amount of time. I truly hope that this trip last.

I just woke up and is heading towards the airport soon ! Got to pick up Kok Keong and Gavin on the way. I am flying to Vietnam for 2 weeks for to do community service for 2 weeks. I thought that I should make some last min update here. Haha.

Last Saturday was the Bukit Panjang District Campfire 2010. It was pretty well done. The campfire leaders were 3 Cub Scouts and Mr Sim. I brought my new digital Pen E-P2 Olympus there to take some photos. I am currently still learning how to use it and it is a very fun camera to use.

Bukit Panjang Eagle Scouts got gold for the District Pioneering competition. I was pretty surprised that we actually got gold. Now, we have to improve ourselves and achieve better results if possible.I am quite happy that quite a number of my Venture Scouts turn up for the campfire. It has been quite awhile since I had more than 10 Ventures attending a event due to the prelims the Secondary 4 are having. I remembered seeing this game before and wanted to try it. However, I forgot about it until I saw it recently again. I am not really a fan of fighting games unless it comes from anime series that I like, like Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Codes, Neon Evangelion: Battle Orchestra and Bleach.

After a few rounds and getting used to the controls, I was having a lot of fun playing this game. It feels pretty different from the fighting games I have played.

As usual, first off to the graphics. Blazblue: CT uses sprite for characters and 3D for backgrounds. The backgrounds are pretty nice and pleasant, it sort of gives me the mood to actually fight in the game. The sprite are pretty well designed too. The characters movements are smooth and I can hardly find any rigidity in it. The effects are pretty nice, however I find it a little too flashy.

Secondly, the gameplay. The controls are pretty simple. Other than the character's finishing move, the Drive mode in the game provides even more uniqueness to them. I get to use cool moves with simple button combination rather than complicated button combination. Also, the number of combo in the game for each character is just nice in my opinion. Unlike Street Fighter 4 where there are numerous combos and I find it hard to use.

The game also provide a different way of blocking, the Guard Libra System. There is a barrier gauge below the player's health bar. Once you get into the blocking stance, the gauge will start to decrease. It will drop even further with each hit, blocking the attack. However, you will not receive any damage while blocking. You can also use up the barrier gauge and perform a barrier burst when your enemy keeps spamming combos and you are blocking. However, this permanently places your barrier out of commission, it will never regenerate. The conventional way of blocking is still available but you will still receiving chipping damage. So I guess it's up to the player to plan which kind of guard to use.

There are also Astral Heat in the game. It is like your ultra-super-hyper-epic combo to end off the match. You will have to fulfill 3 conditions in order to use it. It have to be the final round of the match, you must have 100% heat and your enemy must have less than 20% of the total health.

Thirdly, the story. The story is pretty confusing for me initially. So I searched the internet for more information and it is pretty interesting. It seems that time is looping and someone is trying to break that loop. I am still trying to understand the story as I have not completed the game yet. However, the story mode in the game provides multiple paths in game for each character. It gives different ending for each character in their story mode. However, you can only get the true ending when you get 100% for all characters in the story mdoe. This adds on to the replayablity value.

Finally, the audio. I am pretty satisfied with the music in game. For me, any music in game that catches my attention is good music. This game has pretty of that. The sound effects are pretty well done too, it doesn't sound flat. I am glad that I can switch between English and Japanese vocal in this game. Although, I don't understand Japanese and been guided by subtitles, the vocal suits the game. The English vocal is just terrible.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this game and I will buy it sequel, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift. I recommend people to try this. It is a fighting game on a totally different level.

Everyday is pretty relaxing and fun in it's own way ever since the study break started. However, I will have to start studying for my Final Theory Test and exams very soon. I think I am going to start train myself during the holidays, got to try and gain a small percentage of my original strength.

Recently, I have been playing the piano very often. I am trying to play Theme of Laura from Silent Hill 2 by ear and Staple Stable from Bakemonogatari. Both of them are awesome music. Originally I wanted to learn Orange from Toradora, however I couldn't find a good piano score for that.

The YOG study break has started and I am free to do what I want for the moment, although the exam is 3 weeks later. I have been doing a lot of drawing and playing of the piano ever since the holiday started. I guess I don't really have much games to play now, so I am going to concentrate on my plastic models. Of course, I have to complete my Resonance of Fate too, the game is fun and unique.

23rd July 2010, Bukit Panjang Govt High celebrated it's 50th anniversary. Although I go back there almost every single week to help out the scout unit. The atmosphere was different. 5 years ago, BPGHS celebrated it's 45th anniversary when I was still in Secondary 2. Comparing the two of them, 50th Anniversary is definitely better than the 45th. However, the parade wasn't as grand as it was. Although it wasn't good, I should give credit for their effort, especially the mass display and performances.

I had a great time meeting up old friends, former classmates and teachers. Although the school was renovated, memories as a student still flows back. Looking back now, I only realized how precious those memories are until I graduated. The wheels of time will not turn back and we can only advance together with time. It is only when we look back and realized how far we have advanced, making the journey and process precious.

I watched the movie Predator with John, Timothy, Tan Yuan, Tai Wang, Keith and Eugene last night. I would say the movie was pretty average, not really good or bad. The plot is pretty disappointing but the action scenes were pretty cool. I like the Predators with new mask designs, vision and 1 new gadget. The plot was pretty predictable but some parts was stupid. I am pretty sure the almighty wrist blade is able to break the katana into 2......

I remember playing Chrono Cross on Playstation 1 when I was 9 years old. Although I didn't get to complete this game, I remember the opening and music very clearly. Those were the times I went "WOW !" over this kind of CG.

In 2002 and 2004, I played both Final Fantasy X and X-2 on Playstation 2. Those were the time I went "WOW !" over this kind of CG.

Recently, Assassin Creed: Brotherhood E3 trailer was released and I went "HOLY SHIT !" after viewing it.

Not like these are the only games I have played. I have been playing video games since I was 6 years old and Sonic the Hedgehog been the very first game I played. After viewing the AC:BH CG trailer, it made me thinks about how things has change over the years. Graphics just keeps getting better and better, people just go "WOW !" every time something better has been created.

I remembered after playing Final Fantasy X for a few months, I went back to play Final Fantasy 9 on my Playstation 1. First thing I thought "Was the graphics this bad ?". No, it is not the graphics that was poor. It's the advancement that causes it to look bad. However, it was good back then. My brother and I would save the game right before a good CG scene and replay it many times.

It's just pretty amazing at how things advance. In the past, we were dreaming about it. Now, we have it. I posted about my feelings on modern games in some post a few months ago. If you are interested, perhaps you would like to dig through my blog archive. Now, maybe I would just replay some of the games which I didn't complete in the past using a emulator. I played them when I was a little kid, the gameplay and music is can be easily remembered. I do not understand most stories of the game I have played though.

To me, video games are truly works of art. Some may disagree with me. However, do not just look at the game itself, look behind the scene and think of the effort put into the game. The music trying to bring out the theme of the game and scene, trying to blend into it. Shiny graphics doesn't make a good game. Sometimes a decent game can be a good one after thinking about it. It adds more fun to the game than just playing it. However, do not bother thinking about it if the game is just horrible. Sometimes, it just seems that the developer are not sincere in making the game. Company have to earn profit in order to survive and continue, that is a fact. Everyone needs money who doesn't ? However it seems there is some guy who just think that video games are only tools for making money. Never a work of art or entertainment, how disappointing.....

AECAM and AL is done for today ! AECAM was alright although I panicked at the end because I can still see some uncut material. However, I think it's a graphical glitch because I cannot see the same material that was left uncut when I change the angle of the model. Hopefully I can get a near full mark for that.

AL test is just horrible. I was surprised that there were actually question I can actually do. However, whenever I answer the questions, the feeling "I'm right ?" sucks. Also, there were some questions I know how to do but I just can't remember it, that kind of feeling sucks too. I hope I can pass, I guess I will just have to try harder for the exams. It's tough but life isn't interesting if it's not tough. =D

I have been quite busy lately that I have not played the piano. I just did that it's horrible. My skills have become rusty and I forgot how to play certain parts. I will spend the entire day tomorrow after school playing the piano.

I'm not one who is able to review much about products but as promise my view on HTC Desire.

(Note: I am just saying what I think about this phone, don't come in and just throw in bullshit about Iphone been the best phone and this been crap. As usual, I do not take sides in my view.)

This is my technically my third handphone. First one being Motorola V6 Maxx and the second HTC Touch Diamond. I find great satisfaction in using this phone after suffering 1 tormenting year with Windows Mobile.

HTC Desire comes with a 3.7" AMOLED Touchscreen display with multi-touch capability. It is able to surf the web via 3G mobile or Wi-Fi and have tons of multi-media services. The screen is pretty responsive and the colour is very vibrant and attractive with the resolution 480 X 800. It has 5 buttons at the bottom; home, menu, back and search button. I find this pretty useful as it provides quick access to needed function. The power button is on top and the volume control buttons are at the left side of the phone. The fifth button is the optical trackball, instead of find a trackball like Nexus One. Perhaps if you are lazy to move your fingers, you can choose to select things with your thumb instead.

It has a internal memory space of 512MB and can be further expanded up to 32GB with the microSD card.

Connectors on the phone is 3.5 mm Stereo Audio Jack and the standard micro USB.

The camera is 5 megapixel and comes with a LED flash, Face detection and focus capability. You can also adjust the contrast, saturation, sharpness, brightness and ISO. Some of the application online will be able to give the user some more special effects to use.

The Desire is very customizable. There are tons of options to change so that it can suit the user and it can be further enhance by downloading applications from the Android Market. However, I do not like the Force Crop when you are trying to set a new wallpaper. The phone forces you to crop the picture you want and make the wallpaper all grainy and ugly. I managed to find a way around this by getting a 1280*1024 sized picture as my wallpaper. The force crop fit the entire picture perfectly.

I find this phone very satisfying to use and very convenient. I would recommended it to people. Not a really good review but it's a first time for handphone. ;D

Welcome the Desire !

Hurrah ! I got my HTC Desire last night from M1. My contract expired last year however since there are no phone worthy of changing. I held on to my Motorola V6 Maxx and changed to my brother's HTC Touch Diamond 1. Finally after 1 tormenting year of using Windows Mobile, I got a HTC Desire. I shall post about it some other time.
(This makes Ian phone looks like a baby toy. >=) lol jk.)

After a tiring day, I went to Ion Orchard with Gideon, Fong Wai, Jie Xun and Guo Yan for dinner at Fish & Co. The food was pretty decent but the price is steep. I am not a fan of spending money on food. However, I think it's ok once in a while. It was my first time at Ion Orchard and it just look like any other shopping mall except for the toilet. The toilet has a unique design in my opinion.

Dreams

Today's topic is about dreams and no, it's not those dream you work towards to. The dreams I am talking about is about those you have while you are asleep. For those who knows me, I might have told you this before. I usually have nice dreams, usually about very nice houses which I can remember very clearly. I shall post about them in the next post. However, I am going to share about this dream I had last night. This may sound like a story I created but it's up to you to believe it or not.

I remembered I was going to a campfire with my friends. I entered the school and went straight to the hall. When I reached the hall, a Rover scout led me to my sit. After a while, I went to the toilet and when I stepped out of the toilet, everything start to become funky. The sky was in the evening setting and there were several hologram like projections in the sky. There were also lots of clouds forming an X similar to the one in Ghost Adventures when they went to Poveglia island. (Look up for it, go to youtube) I decided to head back into the hall and get my camera. I went in and get my camera which took only 2 mins. However, when I step out of the hall, it's night time. It's the scene you will see at night, dark sky, street lamps and stuffs. The next thing I know, I blacked out.

When I regain conscious, I was in a HDB estate and apparently I was walking a girl home. She was rather pretty but I didn't say anything and kept walking. I walked her to a provision shop and inside it there was a door. I went in with her and it was like a dorm, there were other people in there sleeping too. I bid my farewell to her and I went out. When I walked out of the shop, I was knocked down by something, I quickly got up to my feet and looked up. I saw something running into another shop. I followed it and I saw it going into the room. The HDB have several provision shop of the same design. Suddenly, fear struck me when I saw it's leg. It is all scaly and it is definitely not human. I stood still and suddenly I heard someone said "Quick, off the lights". I reached out for the switch beside me and ran out to the playground just in front of the shop.

There was a middle aged man standing there and something was sneaking up behind him. He turned around and disposed of it quickly and tells me. In order to kill them, you will have to take their ADAM. He stabs it and drain something out of it. The thing he killed was some scaly humanoid alien and it's definitely hostile. He gave me 2 vambrace, one of them contains a hidden blade and another a syringe. He told me to hold out till daylight and defend the estate. The next thing I know, I started running around draining ADAM out of the aliens. I remembered I failed to save one woman, she was been attacked and I just took out my blade and engage the alien. However, it's a tough bitch and I just plunge my syringe into him but it took the woman with him before it went down.

While I was running around killing the creatures, people starts to wake up. I worked faster to prevent anymore casualty. However, I do not know why I kept thinking about protecting the girl that I walked home as my objective. (I don't even know who she is. >_>) Daylight eventually came and those things disappeared, the middle aged man appeared behind me and patted on my shoulder saying "Good Job." and then I woke up.

I know this dream is weird and stupid. There were several references from video game as well, ADAM from Bioshock and Vambrace and hidden blade from Assassin Creed. It's a dream not a story. Maybe I shall post about the pretty houses I saw in my dreams but if only I have the skill to draw it out. However, I know the floorplan too, so it should be easy to draw that !! =D

Here I am, adding another entry to my blog.

School is interesting so far and I hope that it stay this way. Although, projects and assignments are coming in, it's pretty fun. School isn't that bad but the process of going to school is. I can't do anything about that so I will have to suck it up.

IS module is finally interesting for me. The last 2 IS module I had wasn't really that nice. CATS was crap and Com toolkit was alright. I'm taking some IS module called "Serious fun in E-gaming" now. The title may sounds stupid or something but it's fun. It is all about games and it is what I do best. You have to think like a game designer and you will learn how to appreciate games. I already know how to appreciates games but it won't hurt if I apply for a lesson.

School has started for a week and I am determined to pull my GPA up as high as possible. The new modules that I am taking for my 2nd year seems to be stressful. I think I will just see how it goes in the end. However, I think I am getting some very boring lecturers this year. Every single lesson, I think I almost fell asleep. Luckily, I am getting 2 half day this semester.

I'm having my driving lessons now and I hope to get my license by the end of this year. I had my second lesson on Tuesday and it wasn't really that good. I panicked and the car stalled. Things should be better as I take more and more lessons.

I pray and hope that things will change for the better. Problems seems to rise faster than it is been solved. Things have started to pile up and it becomes worse day by day. However, I know this will be over someday. Even after the Darkest nights, Morning always comes.

It's been a while since I last posted.

Quite a number of things have happened during the past few days. Wen Hao came back, Scout handover ceremony, release of poly results, AVLC.

I had fun and laughter attending the events I had during the past few weeks. Next week, 2nd year starts and I can't really say that I am looking forward to it. Oh well, I don't have a choice, suck it up.

I have been playing Battlefield Bad Company 2 recently. It's pretty fun and better than COD: MW2 in my opinion. It does have it's flaws but hey, not every game is perfect. If you don't like it, don't play it. Stop bitching about it. If there is anyone of you out there is playing this game, add my player name 'Raydark'. Perhaps we can have a game or two and expand our friend list. ;D

If you think Devil May Cry is good, think again.

(Warning: Possible minor spoiler for some. This post is all about MY views on Bayonetta. If you do not agree with me on something of the things written here, don't come in and start bashing. Also, keep your fanboy and girl attitude away.)

The player takes controls of Bayonetta, a witch who was sealed 500 years ago, now she is awake and ready to settle the old scores.

While playing Bayonetta, you will most probably find that the gameplay is pretty similar to Devil May Cry. You walk towards your goal, kill any enemy that is in your way, collect what they drop and use it to buy stuffs. The techniques is also pretty similar like Dante's Stinger to Bayonetta' Stiletto. However, that doesn't mean Bayonetta is just Devil May Cry in another form.

The graphics is your modern day graphics. I won't really go touch on that.

The battle system is very fluid. You can dodge at anytime during the battle, that means disengaging your enemy halfway through a technique then engage again. If you are good enough, you can evade everything the enemy throws at you. You can enable 'Witch Time' for a few seconds when you dodge the enemy's attack at the last possible moment. During 'Witch Time', Bayonetta will be hyper-sensitive to time and this causes everything beside her to be in slow motion. However, you can still get hurt if the enemy manages to land a hit on you.

Bayonetta does not just fight with weapons that is in her hands. She fights with all four limbs. You will have 2 set of weapon equipped at one go, one for the hands and one for the heels.

Using various combination of punches and kicks, the player will be able to execute different kind of combo. Some of them ends off with a Wicked Weave, very useful when you need to deal heavy damage. There is a lot of weapons in the game and each weapon is unique. By holding down the button bind to the weapon, the player can prolong the weapon's attack. For example, Bayonetta's gun isn't just simply for whacking. Hold the button and she will fire bullets.

In addition, there is also a combo system. You get certain number of halos when your combo ends. Basically, the longer your combo is, the more points and halos you get. Halos are used like Red Orb in Devil May Cry. You get the ranking for your combo in the form of a medal when one verse ends. Keep the combo ongoing and you get yourself a very action packed battle and game.

There is quite a number of breakable objects in the game and they will drop "materials". Using this "materials", you can concoct your own items rather than spending halos to buy them. You set the amount of "material" you want to use and spin the right stick when you get the prompt. It is a pretty neat idea.

The music in Bayonetta is good. Some of them are boring ambient music, however the battle music and cutscene is great. It gets you into the mood and fits Bayonetta personality pretty well.

It is usually the case that light is good and darkness is bad but not in Bayonetta. You are fighting angels in the game yet they are playing the role of the villain. The enemy are pretty well designed to fit that. It is pretty refreshing to turn things around. The cinematic in this game can be ridiculous to a certain extent but it is definitely entertaining. Well, it is a game don't ask too much, just play it.

Like most game, the main character will always have a rival. In Bayonetta, your rival is named "Jeanne". She is a witch just like you, she knows all of your techniques and uses them during the battle. It is always enjoyable to fight her. Her battle is pretty intense and the music during the battle really get the player in the mood. 'Witch Walk' is enabled when fighting her, so you are fighting on all 6 surface as you transit from one to another if you are in a room. My first impression of her wasn't really good, however I come to like her as the story progress.

Bayonetta is really a quality game and has brought me lots of fun. Tall, Sexy girl with guns, Seductive, Action packed, what else do you want ? Platinum Game gained one more supporter and I am looking forward to their future production.

Hello readers ! I am back from the Annual Scout and Guides Camp ! This time, it was held at Sarimbun Scout Camp. There were Ups and Downs during the camp. However, I believe that campers were happy and had fun during the camp.

The Bukit Panjang Venture Unit had their own camp as well. It was a 2 day 2 night camp. However, the highlight of the camp during the first night. The Ventures went into the forested area and spent the night there. They had to build a shelter, make weapons or trap, collect water and have edible plants or food. They only had their survival kit with them and had to use the environment to their advantage. It was pretty cool and fun. However, I didn't sleep because I was afraid that something might happen to them while they were sleeping. So, Jia Wei and I spent entire night looking after them from a distance.

Initially, I wanted to type a post about Alien versus Predator. Usually, I will type my views the games that I played. However, I think I am just too lazy to type on Alien versus Predator. Maybe next time. =D

I have been going out with the usual gang in Scouts pretty much these few days. Rover investiture, Meetings and Jasvin's birthday celebration. Well, it is definitely better than rotting at home.

I rejected Rover-ship during the investiture even though I went through the entire thing. The investiture was held in Lower Peirce Reservoir. It's a solemn ceremony and the Rover squires are suppose to reflect on their own before they can be knighted as a Rover. We were all led in the the reservoir and one by one we were allocated our positions. We were about 30m away from each other. With a candle, paper and pen, we sat down and began to reflect the questions on the paper. However, it is still scary when you are sitting alone in the dark with the reservoir is just right in front of you, and the forest behind you. After 30 minutes, we went to the area where we are invested as a Rover and that is where I rejected it.

Job week camp and the annual March camp is coming soon. I'm going to be so busy but it will be fun, I think.

Last Sunday, The usual gang went to Marina Barrage and celebrated Jasvin's birthday. That day was well spent. =D

I just completed 2 games recently. One of them is Alien vs Predator and the other one is Bayonetta. Both games are quality games in my opinion. I shall post my views on the game one by one. I'm still aiming to 100% complete Bayonetta though. Still, there are games that I want to buy, Star Ocean 4 and Battlefield : Bad Company 2. I think I will buy it the next time I got the money.

Now I'm flipping through my blog archive and if I am given the chance. I will definitely go back in time and slap myself. I bet when I'm 20+ I will also think of slapping my current self. I guess this is the process of growing up. On a side note, I'm pretty amazed at how my thinking has changed.

I'm having my holidays now and that means I have a lot of free time. So what do I do with my free time ? I play games and recently, I completed Bioshock 2 !

For those who know Bioshock, good for you. For those who don't know please visit wikipedia for more information.

In Bioshock 2, I feel that it is more interesting than Bioshock 1. Now you get to play as a Big Daddy in search of your own little sister. However, you are not any regular Big Daddy. You are a Alpha Big Daddy known as Subject Delta. You are one of the first generation Big Daddy. However due to some event, you were in coma for 10 years... so the other big daddy are more technological advanced.

So as a Big Daddy, you get to use a drill full of pwness. You are not using most of the weapons you used in Bioshock 1. You are using stuffs like drill, rivet gun, machine gun(more like a gatling gun). Also, you get to use plasmids and the other big daddies doesn't seems to have the ability to use plasmids.

In order to get plasmids, you need ADAM and the same old genetic goo still comes from the Little Sister. Basically, they are just little girls running around, stabbing corpses to get ADAM. However, they all each guarded by a Big Daddy. I like this part of the new gameplay in Bioshock 2. You have to kill the Big Daddy (as usual) and adopt the Little Sister after her "Mr Bubbles" is dead. After that, you will need to bring the Little Sister to gather ADAM from corpses (she will guide you) and after you settle her down to gather the ADAM. You will be attacked by Splicers. This part is rather fun especially when a splicer managed to get to the Little Sister and you just do a Drill Dash, pure satisfaction. Each Little Sister can only gather from 2 corpses and after that, you have to go to a vent and do one of the 2 things.

1) Just take the ADAM she has and rescue by curing her.
2) Harvest her, destroy her and get all the ADAM you can get.

After this, there will be a possibility of a new enemy coming to find you, The Big Sister.

This is suppose to be a little sister that's all grown up. She has the ability to use plasmids and jump around screaming like a little bitch. When low on health, she can also drag in nearby splicer and drain their health. It is always interesting to fight a Big Sister.

Like Bioshock 1, there is a good and bad ending depending on the action you do. I got the good ending. =D

I just came back from the Centenary Dinner held in Suntec City level 2 Ballroom. Today I had so much fun and I don't know why. I think that this is the first time I had fun in a dinner. I camwhore-ed ? =D

100 years of Scouting in Singapore. It's actually quite amazing to take part in a event to celebrate it. All the scouts, both old and young, coming together to this dinner, chatting, eating, performing and most importantly, having fun. It got me thinking that I most probably won't find this in any kind of place other than in Scouts.

Senior Minister Goh was the Guest of Honor and he shared one of his scouting experience during the speech. It is always interesting to listen to another Scout sharing his experience. Also, there was this orchid that was pretty nice. The food was rather nice too, I think it's worth the money. XD

For the first time in my life, I'm actually studying to score. Well, I did "studied" for my 'O' levels but I didn't study as hard.

First thing in the morning I woke up, 9am, I sat in front of my computer and studied Thermofluid till 6pm. The hope of getting an A for this subject is gone because I failed my common test. Now I am aiming for a B+. Problem is I could only understand the last chapter of the subject. I don't really know what the first 7 chapter is talking about so I will just have to memorize them all.

Argh, hope that I can achieve my B+. HALF TIME !!! XD

Happy Founder's Day and Thinking Day to all Scouts and Guides out there.
Today marks the 100th year of scouting in Singapore. =D

Thermofluid exam is coming this Friday and I have yet to study it. I know it's impossible for me to get an A for this module anymore but I have to try my best to get a B.

Since the holidays is coming and I have a more free time. I'm currently playing "Cross Edge", a RPG that was released last year. It's a pretty interesting and entertaining game despite the low score game site gave it. It's basically a huge crossover of characters from 5 companies. You have characters from DarkStalkers, Disgaea, Mana Khemia, Ar Tonelico. There are more but I do not know which game series are they from.

The story is about the characters being pulled into this weird world in another dimension. The villain is pulling souls from all the different world. Apparently, the characters in the game have some special power that prevented their soul from being pulled out of their body. The different character meeting one another, join forces and try to get back their own world.

Although the graphic isn't that good but as I always say, shiny graphics doesn't necessarily make a good game. The Battle System is fun. You are able to link combos together using different skills, something like Valkyrie Profile but you do not need to time the attack to link a combo.

It's has been entertaining and I am trying to complete it now. XD

Founder's Day Rally 2010 is done. That's one of the major activity down.
The centenary dinner is on next Saturday and i'm looking forward to the food.

I had my Engineering Mathematics 2 paper yesterday and now I pray that I will be able to get my A. The scouts and I visited Jasvin's house yesterday. It was fun and an eye opener. =D

Today, I had dinner with Timothy at Ajisan because of some incident... How well, anyway the meal was enjoyable especially after a tiring day.

I don't really have much to post about these days. Alot of things happened but I don't really know how to put them into words.

School is almost over ! Now I'm left with the exams. I have 2 papers, Engineering Mathematics and Thermofluids. Both are troublesome but it shouldn't be a problem if I study harder enough.

I just bought White Knight Chronicles for my brother as his birthday present a few days ago. However, since it's his birthday present, he gets to play it first. I'm waiting for AvP, should be releasing somewhere around near end Feb. I am pretty bored nowadays, keeping myself occupied with studies and scouting.

I want to buy a new scale model. However, I do have one under my bed ready for assembly. Unfortunately, I do not have the necessary paint. It's an Evangelion Scale model, EVA-01 Type F. One day, I will definitely get it done.

Although it has been quite some time... I'm still playing Armored Core For Answer. It's still fun to a certain extent. Armored Core 5 should be coming out in Japan near the end of 2010.

Supposedly I can be at home now resting. Lessons ends at 8pm every Wednesday but today it ends at 2pm. However, I have to stay back and do a final communication toolkit presentation that is due tomorrow. The presentation is 20% of the overall module score and it can make a really big difference......

I just an overnight hike last Saturday and it was tiring yet fun. The starting point was Kovan MRT station, followed by Catholic High, some temple, some chicken feet mark on the ground, Kent Ridge Park and finally Habour Front Center. The total distance is about 20km. The best part is I slept at 3pm and woke up at 6am.... which is like 16 hours of sleep. =D

Alright, back to work.

Yes ! The holidays are almost here but SHIT ! Tons of assignment to be done and handed in by the end of the month ! I better focus if these few weeks if I want to get my A and pull up my GPA.

Not just only school matters, there 2 major scouting activity coming. Mainly, the Founder's Day Challenge and the Area Venture Leadership Camp. Life is busy yet meaningful.

2009 passed about an hour ago and here is 2010.

2009 has been quite an eventful year although i spent 1/4 of it slacking, waiting for poly to start. I have done most of the stuffs that I want to do which is a plus for me. Ahhh i have mixed feelings now but I shall look forward !

New Year resolution ! Ta ta ta dah !

First, I want to get good GPA, this is my top priority. I want to get into a University.
Second, I want to meet my elegant lady. (Mingxian will most probably say i'm disgusting. Rofl XD)
Third, achieve good result in everything I do.

I'm also looking forward to some games coming out in 2010. Most of them are coming out in Q1. Also, there should be some good scouting event coming out which is a plus !

It's finally done ! The model that i wanted so much and my brother bought it from Japan for me. Finally it's completely assembled and painted.
This 1/72 scale model is pretty posable and it can change between "modes". From normal to overboosting and using assault armor. There is no assault armor picture shown in the picture because it's just cooling fin coming out, nothing much.

Although there were some hiccups along the way, I felt that this is a masterpiece of mine.

My logitech G9X laser mouse.

I'm using this as my laptop mouse while my brother's G5 as my pc mouse. However, I am having holidays now,I might as well use it for my pc. It's a pretty neat mouse.

The user can change grip depending on the situation. The grip that is shown in the picture is the "comfy" grip. It's bigger and has a satin matt feel to it making it more comfy. While that is not shown is the dry grip, it's smaller and rough providing extra grip.

You can also customize the mouse weight up to 28gram. It also has the ability to change the colour of the DPI indicator. Pretty customizable mouse. I like it. =)

The year is going to be over soon, I better grab the chance to post more stuffs before 2009 ends !

Maybe I should talk a little bit more on this new blog skin of mine. With the help of my sister, she made me my special background and writing board. After that, I spent 2 hours on photoshop, taking pictures from a fansite kit and the net, making the blog picture at the top.

So why this ? I actually planned to beautify my blog a few months ago but I was too lazy and had no idea on what should I do. Until recently, I started replaying Little Big Planet. Sackboy is especially cute and Little Big Planet is pretty colorful in my opinion, so I decided to go ahead with this. I was choosing music between Flirty Cha Cha and Sepia tones (search youtube for the music) for my playlist. In the end, I chose Flirty Cha Cha because it has a catchy tune to it.

So much have happened during the holidays yet I didn't really post anything. Today was my first outing with my poly classmates. We went fishing, I didn't really catch anything except for seaweeds however we had fun joking around and suaning each other. XD

There is also alot of activity going on for scout now. However it's a pity that I might not have enough time for it. My life is pretty boring without scout u know ? I think I will just make do with whatever time I have.

My Armored Core scale model is near completion !!! I'm left with the weapons and stand then I will snap photos happily, post it here and on facebook. Now if there is anyone kind enough to buy an Armored Core Aaliyah Unsung scale model for me ? =D

I bought my new gaming mouse, Logitech G9x. It's pretty cool in my opinion. You can change the colour of the dpi indicator, change grip and adjust weights to suit your gaming style and hyper scrolling for fast scrolling across long page. People may ask "why not Razer ?" Well.... None of the Razer mouse suits my grip style and the comfort is not there for me and it's less customizable than Logitech.

Common test starts next Monday and I should start memorizing my Thermofluid formulas.

Recently, I have been listening to songs by Shimatami Hitomi. I was searching for Armored Core MAD on Youtube, like some of the song used and found out it sung by her. She is the second singer I listen to other than Nana Mizuki. >_>

Damn it, I just realized I didn't post this event that happened a week ago. >_>

My logitech G5 mouse spoiled last week. Nothing wrong with the mouse, the mouse is working fine but the wire snapped. Now it looks like it's wireless, like the G7. The wire snap at the very tip of the mouse and like heck I know what happen. If I can connect the wire back together again by means of bracing of soldering it might work again. However, I do not have the luxury of such things. >_>

Oh well, I bought it like 3 years ago, it has seen lots of action. Shooting aliens, zombies, performing miracles as a god and stuffs, I would like to buy another G5 mouse. It's good and cheap. (It's really cheap now, about 1/3 - 2/3 of it's original price) However I think that it's time to change, change to either a G500 or G9x. Timothy got the G500, perhaps I will be getting the G9X. I'm still considering. XD

Tadah ! Some updating needs to be done here.

Today, I injured myself within 5 mins after waking up early in the morning. I woke up and immediately went to shower, only to slip, fall and followed by a loud vulgarity. Now I got this about 4 inch long laceration on my arm....

I have started assembling my Lineark's White Glint which my brother bought for me when he went to Japan. I hope that I can find enough spare time to finish the entire thing. I want to complete it fast but I would also like to maximize the fun assembling it. Balance is important i think. Hope that I can create a good one and not waste it because it's a Japan import model ? =_=

L4D2 is out for quite some time and got it the moment it's released because I pre-ordered it on steam with Tim, his friend and Keith. We got the bulk discount so one cost about $50, cheaper than retail. Well, I like some of the new changes and map L4D2 has. New weapons, new enemies, new map with new crescendo and mode. It's a fun game, if you want a review go to IGN or Gamespot. I am skipping it this time.

Beside L4D2, as mentioned in the previous post. I am playing games that I either played before or missed on the Playstation emulator. The games may be old but it is definitely quality game. These are games that I played when I was young. (I mean it, I am still in Primary school, 7 years old) Most of the time, I don't even understand the story of the game. I will just activate the Gameshark and cheat my way through everything. Most of the time, I don't even understand the story of the game. I didn't even complete the game most of the time.

It is different now, I can actually understand the story and appreciate the game. Especially the RPG Xenogear, the gameplay is like your typical turn by turn RPG. However, what makes it great is the story and the music. I have not completed the game however I want to know more, I want to complete it because the story is deep and it's good. This is one of the game I played when I was young and didn't understand shit however, I still remember the music for 11 years. The music is beautiful and fits the scene well. Maybe I should change my blog music to one of it.

To me, video gaming has become a form of Art. Those who appreciate it calls it Art, those who doesn't calls it trash.

By the way, I have changed my blog music from Stories to Continued Stories. XD

I'm pretty busy this few days. G7 campfire is coming, Basic Theory Test for Driving is coming and E learning week is coming. I guess precision timing is important juts for this week.

I just bought a 2nd hand Creative Zen X-fi from Timothy for $100. It's pretty good. I can actually hear sounds I never hear before in my music. I am not one into high end audio but listening to it once in a while can be pretty nice. =D

That aside, I finally changed my laptop OS to Windows 7 and it is definitely better and smoother than Vista. It uses lesser memory. The thing is..... I installed Windows7 Nanami theme for my laptop and it's voiced by my favorite voice actress/ singer. XD

Have you ever had your childhood wish come true ? I did, just now. I was playing Armored Core 4 and I was thinking what other fun robot games are there. Suddenly there was this tune in my head and I knew what was it. I searched youtube for the name of the music and found it. "Into the Blue Sky, Temjin theme" for Virtual On Cyber Troopers. I remember playing this game on Sega Saturn when I was young. Although I only played the demo, it was my favorite game. I wanted to have the full game but the game in the past was like $80-$90 ++ which is expensive shit. I didn't get to play the full version.

I decided to download the Sega Saturn emulator and search for the game. I found it and started playing it. Childhood memories starts to flow back and I was really happy. A wish that I had once as a child and forgotten was finally fulfilled.

I started playing games when I was in Kindergarden 2, about 5 years old and the first console I played was the Sega Genesis Megadrive. The graphic back then may just be 16bits and 32bits. However, the games were simple and fun. I remember Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog. Simple gameplay, point A to point B, jumping on enemies, scoring high score with nice stage music.

I downloaded the Playstation emulator and search for games too. I found some of the old games that I played when I was young. I'm currently playing Threads of Fate and it is still fun, just like when I was young. Games like Breath of Fire and Xenogears were fun.

Compared to the games of today. Most of them have shiny graphics and effects. However, the amount of game time is reduced to accommodate the graphics. Some of the games have complicated gameplay to achieve realism, while some are just plain broken games. Now with capabilities of online play, competitiveness increases. Although not all, there are players throwing vulgarities at one another just because the team loses or someone is being burden. Sure, no one play to lose however some just wants to win and nothing else.

Back then, friends will just come over. Playing simple console games together and have fun. Time has change. =_= (I feel old. lol)

Hah, yesterday was my birthday and I got pretty much wishes on Facebook which puts a smile on my face. Mingxian also treated me lunch yesterday...so thank you, aha. Other than that, there's nothing much that happened. As for present, I got Armored Core 4: For Answer. :3

It's a good game like Armored Core 4. Just that, it feels abit different with more features and customization ability. Perhaps I need some time to get used to it. Now I'm thinking what plastic model should I buy for myself....

I decided to split the post for today because I do not want to bore people with that game "review".

Yesterday, I attempted to update my Lenovo's ATI Mobility Radeon HD3470 video driver and Catalyst Control Center. Things sort of went wrong and I cannot use any of the ATI components. I had to use the useless Integrated Intel Graphics which just plain sucks because I couldn't play much games with it.

Today, I woke up at 1100 and continue working on it. I was thinking perhaps I applied the wrong driver. So I uninstall video driver and Catalyst control center, ran a drive sweep, download another one and reinstall it. It cannot work. I installed it but in fact, nothing was even installed. This kept going on for like 2 hours until I found a website that I can mod the desktop video driver and use for my laptop. Finally, it worked, Catalyst Control Center is working but not the video card because the driver is incompatible with my VGA adapter.

I kept searching for a solution until I uninstalled all ATI components, ran BIOS and disabled the function of letting the OS to detect Switchable Graphics and ran the laptop on discrete. I installed the modded drivers and rebooted. Finally at 1800, after 7 hours of frustration. It works and better still, I managed to update the video driver. However, there is not much FPS increases which disappoints me. Now, I do not want to enable switchable graphics because I do not want to touch it anymore since it finally works. XD

S.T.A.L.K.E.R with LURK is fun

I have not been doing much these days except for playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl with LURK mod. I remember the time when I played this game for the first time. 2 hours into the game, I uninstalled it because it just sucks or maybe, I suck at it. I remember I had a hard time killing a freaking mutant pig and getting past the first area.

Now I choose to replay it because I am too bored and Timothy's recommendation about the LURK mod. I decided to give it another go and NOW it's fun. It's a First Person Shooter Role Playing Game. Compared to Fallout 3, another First Person Shooter Role Playing Game I played, S.T.A.L.K.E.R is good in terms of the role playing part. The shooting part is smoother that Fallout 3 in my opinion. However, the only thing I do not like is the environment. It's lacking something compared to Bethesda's made environment. Also, unlike Fallout 3, S.T.A.L.K.E.R does not have fast travel feature. You got to travel to every location by foot.

Although I do not know much about the vanilla S.T.A.L.K.E.R because I stopped after 2 hours. The LURK mod certainly made the game fun and challenging. Although the AI is just plain dumb at times. Mutants are now on free roam. That means you can fight mutants that can be only found in certain areas. (I fought a damn bloodsucker in the first area which shouldn't be there.) More guns and ammo are added, providing more variety of weaponry to suit your taste.

It's fun and I would recommend it to people who wants to try this game or just have nothing to do. S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat, the third installation to the series is coming next year Q1 if i'm not wrong and it's the sequel. I would want to try S.T.A.L.K.E.R Clear Sky, the prequel to the game but I heard it just plain suck. Perhaps I will give it a try someday.

Lol, I'm pretty bored this few days. So I thought of changing my laptop's wallpaper.
I want some nice Armored Core wallpaper. However, I can't seem to find any good ones or rather any that I like. With GOMplayer, it's video burst capturing feature and a HD video. I managed to captured some images that I like and "convert" it into a wallpaper. I made 4 but this 2 are my favorites.

Resolution 1440 X 900 (both)

I just take the pictures, made it fit into the resolution i want, adjust the brightness and contrast, do some sharpening and finally place the Armored Core title into a nice corner.

The wallpapers is not as good as official quality and it's the first time I'm "creating" a wallpaper....but I'm happy with it. (Maybe the quality is worse than average.) Xd

It's done ! Lancelot from Code Geass ! I had fun assembling this model and it looks pretty nice to me. However, I had a tough time painting this model. Usually I will just use spray can and spray paint all the parts.

However, I do not have any gold spray so I had to paint all the golden parts by hand. I swear the gold paint is a bitch to use. I cannot use water to wash away the gold paint after I am done. I have to use thinner to wash the brush and scrap the paint. This model is about 40-50% hand painted. -_-

I just took a look at my new time table and it pretty packed compared to my previous one. The only thing that disappoint is I got the afternoon session for Thursday. That means I do not have any time for Scouts. I am wasting my precious time on taking useless module like Creative Applied Thinking Skills and Communication. I mean Wtf ? I enrolled into the course for Aerospace Technology, not some shitty life skill module. The worst part is these time wasting modules affect GPA. >=(

I don't have a choice so I will just have to accept it.
Oh ya, my current GPA is 2.77 and now I will have to score only As to pull up the GPA. I know I definitely can do it. =)

Now I'm playing Armored Core 4. It's fun, considering big robots with big guns going at high speed and fast-paced action. The normal mode can be too easy and hard while the hard mode is just......plain hard. Maybe I suck at the game but it's still fun. The best thing, I saw Armored Core scale models !

Damn it, I am spending too much this month. I spend most of my allowance on paint and models. Luckily, it's the holidays so I wouldn't have to worry too much about meals and stuffs. I don't go out much during the holidays. You know that. ;)

The F-14D is near completion. Now I just have to fix the canopy and make all the ordnance. I bought another model, Lancelot, from the anime "Code Geass". Yes, it's not a plane. It's a robot. =)

I have nothing much to do during the holidays except for Scouting. I do not have much games to play also. However, I'm looking forward to the end of year because there are quite a number of good games releasing.

Woohoo ! I completed the EVA 01 Test type Extra Finish Version yesterday. I spent hours on it and completed it in 7 hours. I am having my holidays now, so yes, at the moment I do not have a life. However at least I am doing something that I enjoy. I hate pasting the stickers for this model. It sucks, they just won't stick. >=(

Yesterday I went to Tiong Bahru and got a EVA-01 extra finish version. It's different from the one my brother got 6-7 years ago. This one have an extra coating on it,giving off a more metallic and shiny look. Of course, I got my cement and paint too. I was so happy that I spent hours assembling my F-14 from where I left off and the result is quite satisfying. =)

It was around 10pm when I decided to pack up and I saw the EVA-02 figure which I made 6-7 years ago too. I thought I lost it but it was with my brother all along because he kept it. Looking at a model which I made years ago, I felt that it's beauty have not been shown truly. In the end I spent 2 more hours beautifying the model.

I used a Gundam marker and darken the panel lines which I did 6-7 years ago. Next, I used a size 0 brush and slowly painted parts of the head and I got a very nice head. Lastly, I break the disassemble the model and spray gloss finish on it. Of course, I reassemble it after that. >_>

The results was very satisfying. There are no decals on the model because I do not know how to add decals when I was young and I lost the damn decal sheet. However, justice has been done to the model. Pictures ahead !

Alright, I am having my holidays now. Except for Scouting activity, I am spending day of nothingness. Actually my holidays started 2-3 weeks ago but I was lazy to post it here. XD

Recently, my brother finally made me an object. It's made out of a cardboard box and finally, it gives me some place to spray paint my aircraft model with. I am happy about that because I can continue making plastic models. However, when I took out cement and thought that I will be able to mold the parts together. The damn cement dried up inside the bottle ! >=(

I think I will have to head down to Tiong Bahru and buy some.

Recently, I am watching an anime titled "Clannad". It's a really good anime. The story is good and I almost cried during certain parts. It can be touching and sad. Of course, there are also funny parts.

After learning "Anata ga ita mori", I might either learn this

Hmm, things isn't going smoothly for me this few days. Sleeping is good but it's not when you don't sleep well. Most of the stuffs isn't going the way I want it to be and this is not a good sign as exams starts tomorrow. I guess things will become bad after you feel happy. I think I'm going to turn myself around clockwise 3 times, have a sleep and hope that things will be better in the coming days.

Alright, Exams is coming in about a week time. Should I be worry ? Maybe yes, maybe no. I will sure pass the the papers but whether I am getting an A....that is a different story but I want my A ! >=(

All I got to do is to psycho myself to work hard. There's nothing I can't do when I put my mind to it....well, except for girls I think. -_-

It looks like I am stress but no. I never thought that I would say this but it seems that I am actually enjoying life. Although poly sucks but it's still fun in some way. Recently, I am back into Scouting again and it is as fun as usual. Some games starts to become interesting so I'm replaying it. For some reason, I have stop thinking about life, the world and humans temporarily. I am starting to watching Anime , I think the last anime I watched is Neon Evangelion ? I found out what kind of girls I like. Every morning I wake up to a beautiful dream like scene. Life is beautiful ! For now.

I tried to centralize the entire thing. It works with my 14" laptop but not for my 22" desktop monitor. However, I feel that it's better than before. Supposedly, the Rafale picture should be changed but due to some problem, that will have to be postponed. I got to get some sleep too.

Well, I should be sleeping now to rest my tired body because I only had 4 hours of sleep last night. Why ? stayed up late playing online games. Yes, I know, it's stupid but I need to have some fun. D=

Seriously, staying school for 10-12 hours for a few days is not fun. It's just hard to decide.

If I choose to get well rested, I get home at 8-9pm and I just sleep till 7am and greet the WONDERFUL DAY because I'm going to school again. So where the hell will the stress go ?

If I choose to have fun, I get home at 8-9pm and I play till 12-1am and sleep till 7am and I wake up to greet the WONDERFUL DAY feeling f***** up and off to school again. =_=

Hmmm, I'm thinking of changing my Rafale picture into something else...but I don't know what to change it to. Perhaps I should change it to pictures of pretty girls so that I will enjoy the process of creating the picture. XD

However seriously, I hardly find girl who I think is pretty. =_= People may just go "Minghan ! Look, chio bu !" then I will go "Chio meh ? ok la." and they get pissed off at me. >_>

I think the only girls that I find pretty are the ones that are close to my "Ideal female" which is rare...very rare. (AND NO! Don't post how good you are with girls or you are going to teach me something to woo girls. I'll fucking break you again and it is the same one possible candidate in my mind now.)

Alright, time to update. I had 3 consecutive long days and finally I can rest. Every night I always have the feeling that next day is going to be weekend but sadly, no. =_=

Games, games, games and more games ! That's what I do best and spend 75% of my time playing ! It's Overlord 2 !!!!

Overlord 2 is the sequel to the game Overlord a few years ago. Unlike Black and White, where you can to choose between good and evil. This game is all above pure evilness. >=) ( It's a pretty funny game too. XD )

Gameplay is pretty simple, you play as the Overlord and you have an army of minions at your disposal. Dominate or Destroy, it's all up to you. There are 4 kinds of minions. Brown, Red, Green and Blue. All of them share one common point, they can destroy objects. =)

Brown minions are melee fighters and their policy is "Bash first, jump up and down on the carcass later." They will take almost all kind of stuffs and wear it as helmets (ranging from snowball to centurion helmet) or use it as weapons (ranging from farming tools to steel weapons).

Red minions are basically your archers. This little red guys throw fireballs at their enemies and set them on fire, making them panic. It is possible to break up legion formations by doing this. However like all archers, they die easily.

Green minions are your stealth minions. They cannot survive for long or deal big damage from the front. You have to somehow flank your enemies with the greens and cause havoc. Especially when you are dealing with a single large enemy, the green do loads of damage.

Blues are your "medics". They resurrect dead minions and is the only kind of minion that can swim. They "blink" when they are going to a target. That means they go invisible. However, they are not meant of combat. They will not hit the enemies, so sending them to the front line means suicidal.

The storyline is pretty interesting, it's seems like the previous Overlord went missing and the minions are searching for a new one. People in the town of Nordberg calls you a witchboy and hates you. When the empire comes and attack the village asking them to surrender their magic users, the villagers handed you over. However, you managed to escape with the help of the minions and after 13 years, you rise again, this time as an Overlord to Dominate or bring Destruction.

The only complain I have about this game is that it's pretty short. However, I think the entertainment of this game compensates it.

Alright, time to enter a new entry. I have been noticing that I am only updating this blog like once or twice every month.....and I don't like it. I can't update this blog very often because my life is boring. Nothing much have been happening lately. Most of them are gaming news which I don't want to post because it will bore those non-gamer readers.

Ok, about school. Lessons are getting increasingly interesting and difficult. Engineering Mathematics is hard for me because I don't take Amaths. [To those who take amaths, don't tag about how easy the subject is. I'll fucking break you. I'm already thinking about one possible candidate that will do that. >=( ] All those things about trigonometry is fine for me but the what function identity thing is like alien language.

As for Electronics and Electricity Technology, I can do the questions but I have to look at the formula. The teacher is teaching so fast and monotonous, I either feel like sleeping or I don't get understand the entire lessson.

Enough about school. Now for a little bit of gaming news. I bought Crysis: Warhead a month ago. This game was released on 2008. I wanted to get it when it was released but I decided to hold on till I get my new graphic card....and when I finally did...no more shop is selling it. -_-

Until a month ago, I found it in a game shop and without thinking, I bought it. Using a custom config, the graphic is absolutely stunning. I wanted to post pictures about it but blogger and imageshack does not allow me to do so. >_>

I want to continue assembling my plastic airplane models but I can't find space to spray the paint for my aircraft in this new house of mine ! >=(

I did it ! I played piano for like 1 year and 8 months and I have completed my second song ! Ok, I know I am dumb enough to take 1 year to learn "Eyes on Me" and 8 months to learn "Out of Darkness".......but it still an achievement for me. Now I am learning my third song "Anata Ga Ita Mori"

Don't ask me what grade I am. I have no grade because I learn to play the piano all by myself which explains the amount of time required to learn. -.-

Recently, I just finished watching a anime series titled "Fate Stay Night" and it's really good. XD I would recommend it to anyone. It's has a good storyline and good fighting scenes (and pretty girl XD). I almost (ALMOST OK ???) cried at the ending. ;_; It's just freaking sad. For those who know me, I haven't shed a single tear for like 10 years. -.-

Hmm, lets see. First, I am kind of upset over my ezlink card. 2 weeks ago, I went to pay my ezlink card payment because I missed out the section that I need to pay the $8. 2 weeks ago, I made the payment in NP and they told me to wait for 2 weeks.

Now 2 weeks is over, I happily make my way to the Student Service Center to get my card. I turned in my student card for verification and I waited for like 8 mins. The person serving me told me that her college is not here, she is unable to check whether my card has arrived and asked me to leave my number so that she can contact me. Fine, I wrote my number and leave the center. A few mins later, she called and said that the card needs 1 month to process.

So what the fuck ? Initially you told me that I have to wait for 2 weeks. Now you asked me to wait for another 2 weeks ? I have to pay another 2 weeks worth of adult fare and it FUCKING EXPENSIVE ! Come on ! If you told me that I have to wait for 1 month at first, I will be fine with that but now I have to wait for another 2 weeks ??

I alighted from my bus today in NP with $-0.24 and I had to used some coins to get back to Choa Chu Kang. I want to top up my card and WOOT ! Guess what ?! I only got $5 with me and the minimum top up value is $10 ! FUCK IT ! I have no more coins to take a bus home either so I have to walk all the way home after a tiring day of calculation.

Second, in NP I got to take this stupid IS module called "Creative Applied Thinking Skills" in short, CATS. Supposedly I will become "creative" after I pass this module. If I fail this module and kick out of NP it will be like "Ooooo WTF ? I got kicked out of NP is not because of my lousy academy in Aerospace Tech but I lack creativeness." BULLSHIT !

Poly life has started and to me, it's just like secondary school with a little bit more of freedom, nothing much. I usually start school at 8-9am, except for Thursday which is at 1pm and end school at 5pm, except for Wednesday which I end at 12pm. For studies, it's just like secondary school. You sit down there, listen to the teacher, take down notes and learn. Well ok, a little bit of difference is that you can use laptop during classes unless the teacher say that you cannot use it.

As for friends...I made a few. At least I don't need to eat lunch alone anymore. Haha. I picked swimming for Sport and Wellness. That means I get to spend time in the water cooling off rather than running around and heating up fast. Holidays is going to be over ! Poly starts on Monday and I am going to start an "exciting" poly life. I received a letter from Ngee Ann about a Sport Fitness Programme that 1st year have to join to promote healthy lifestyle. This is a programme that last for weeks and I don't think i am going to like it. First of all, those who know me will know that I hate sport. It's not that I do not know how to play, I know how but I just don't like to play. -.- (Ok, if I am in a good mood, I MIGHT play.)

Ok...I guess the only way out is to make things interesting for myself. That should be fine for me.... I guess.

Also, I think I got to change my sleeping time. I have been sleeping at 1300 and waking up at 1100 which I think is a total no go for me. I just wake up everyday feeling a bit dizzy. I have a slight headache whenever I look down. If I want to have a healthy lifestyle, I think I better start from sleeping, not playing sport.

Ok....quite a number of stuffs have happen this few days.

First, I changed my video card. I bought a Palit NVIDIA GTX 260 216SP Sonic.

So how much is it ? Well, I spent $400 on this stupid frog. However, I guess it was worth it. This graphic card have greatly boost my PC gaming capability. I am running games like Crysis on Very High Tweak and running at 30~45 fps. It's the first time I am seeing such good graphic on my monitor and I was really happy because i bought it with my own salary. So this is one of the thing I can say it is officially MINE.

Second, I also bought another new game titled "Little Big Planet" !!

Ok, this is a game that was release somewhere in October 2008. It's a game that I have eyeing it on for a long period of time but I just managed to get it at $45 a few days ago. Basically this game is a pretty cute and fun game. Screenshots might look lame but it is fun ! You play as a character named "Sackboy" and it is a side scrolling game. You use logic to get through obstacles and prizes. Like grabbing a sponge part of the object and swing over a spike valley.

You can also change the expression of Sackboy, tilt it's head using six axis and control his arms. You can also collect prizes and unlock materials and clothings for Sackboy ! You can customize your own Sackboy and turn him into something unique ! Overall, this is a interesting and cute game.

Yesterday was my Ngee Ann Poly 1 Day Orientation and what can I say about it ? It's boring. I reach there at 9am and sat at the lecture hall for like 1 hour before a freshmen orientation video starts which is pretty long and stupid. After that, you got a bit of games from the Emcee and a talk by the some director. Plus, a tour around the school where you have to decipher clues given to you and go to the place. Performance by a song club and another talk by the course manager.

SHIT, I came to the orientation because I want to get information about the school, facilities and my course. Not play games, listen to talks and performance. Everything ends at 4pm and the best part of the orientation is the Lunch Time. That is the only fun part of the orientation. Others is just bullshit. The videos and people talking kept saying about making new friends which I am not very keen about. Ya, confirm must make new friends but during this shitty orientation you want to get bonded ? No way.

Anyway, today was the Scout Handover Ceremony and I got to Rover. I have never felt so embarrassed in my scouting life. The BRIGHT RED Rover empaulet makes the whole damn uniform so damn ugly which I can take any pride in. I got a tie, so it's a whole new chapter in Scouting. I never thought that the last time i wore my Venture Uniform was during the District Skills Day. I will choose my Venture Uniform over my Rover Uniform anytime and anywhere but I don't know think that is going to happen. I will NOT wear my Rover uniform unless the situation is so grave that I need to wear it and be embarrassed again.

So another post, another authority. I shall make use of the power I wield and do amendments that are needed.

Well, here i am ! Back to update this blog again with a promise to fulfill. Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X Review ! I got this game 2 days after the launch date and I have been playing it till date. So what is so good about it and what is so bad it ?

First, the story.

Ok, this is one element that most games have. Why most ? I dont think games like Pac Man or Tetris have stories. Anyway, you are playing as David Crenshaw, a skillful pilot that was once in the U.S Airforce and the flight leader of the H.A.W.X squadron. This game is set in the Ghost Recon Universe in 2014 to 2020. Private Military Company (P.M.C) are on the rise. After you jump into the cockpit and completed the first mission, the H.A.W.X squadron was disbanded and one the PMC, Artemis, hired you and your wingmen to be their pilot. From there on, you take your plane to the skies and start whacking jets off the skies.

Ok, I have completed the game already but I still don't really get the story. However, this is a brief outline of what the game is about.

Oh my God, Uber graphics !!!

HOLD ON ! The game may look sexy and good but shiny graphics doesn't really make a good game ! If you have played Ace Combat before, you might find yourself a little bit comfortable with the gameplay. Basically, the gameplay for H.A.W.X is just like Ace Combat with a little difference.

In H.A.W.X, there are two kinds of mode. The Assistance ON and the OFF. Basically in ON mode, you will have full computer assistance. You will never stall in ON mode as the plane will speed up again after it slows down to a certain speed. You cannot do extraordinary maneuver as the computer on all safety measures. However, you will have access to the Enhanced Reality System (ERS). This is a mode where the computer will do all the calculations for you. It will show you triangular gates where it will lead you to your target or dodge missiles. (Shown in Picture 2) ON mode is similar to Ace Combat, just that in Ace Combat you will get to stall and perform High G turn.

While in OFF mode, your camera will be drag all the way out as if your plane contains any virus and you are being quarantine. Like this.

However thanks to this, you are able to do the a little bit more stuffs and increase the excitement of the game. You are able to view yourself fighting in cinematic dogfights and performing extraordinary out of this world maneuver. What do i mean by performing extraordinary out of this world maneuver ? Basically, your plane just defy every single aerodynamic law in the book and perform stuns never seen before. Things like doing a spinning the entire plane on one axis without moving from the spot or over g your planes spin like mad till it reaches like 20g and your plane is still intact as if it is make up of material that is indestructible by the sun.

However because of this, missile dodging have will be sightly easier if you don't drift too much. If not, you will always have flares to help you. At least 3 times. This game may suck to you after seeing what I have typed but I state here that H.A.W.X is NOT a FLIGHT SIM. It is sort of an arcade game and realism is not really there.

As for missile lock on and gun fire, it is pretty much the same as Ace Combat. However in H.A.W.X, sometimes your plane takes forever to lock on and you will be force to disengage from your target. Missiles are not really a problem in both ON and OFF. When firing the gun in OFF, it is still possible but your accuracy might be low because you will be having a difficult time chasing and aiming the enemy while air drifting. As for special weapons, it is pretty much the same like Ace Combat but in lesser variety.

As for the game campaign, the missions are pretty boring compared to Ace Combat. It doesn't really give you the impact and intensity. Maybe this is what H.A.W.X lack.
However, the multiplayer compensates it in my opinion. The online mode is very very intense and every moment you will be send into a panic attack. The moment u enter, be ready for a missile alert and start dodging missiles while shooting enemy. Sometimes the enemy team is so strong that the entire match is set just a few seconds in the game. Since you are fighting with real life player like yourself, the multiplayer mode is really a fun mode. Coop mode is also pretty fun IF you are playing with people you know. Also....what is multiplayer mode without players cursing and swearing, this also adds on to the intensity of the game and proof that they are real life players.

I am touching on one of the most important element in a game. The sound. In H.A.W.X, the sound effects are pretty good. Pretty clear, pretty realistic. Sounds effects like sonic boom, missiles firing pretty good. However, the music is just horrible. There are no epic music in the game. You just play the game without any great music that make you feel great. In Ace Combat you have songs like ZERO, Megalith, Fires of Liberation, Unsung War. H.A.W.X ? the best I remember is the one they play during the replay and the main menu. This is the difference between American and Japanese games i guess. Ace Combat 5, Zero and 6 had their songs composed by Keiki Kobayashi.

Also, the voice acting in H.A.W.X is meh.....horrible. The voice of your wingmen, Casper and Talon, are pretty good. AWACS is also pretty good. However, the ground forces voice acting is just pure shit. All the manly macho voice trying to act serious shit voice is just so fake that you will be like "Oh My God, Can you fucking shut up ?" Plus the ground forces is just useless. I once supported them in a mission and eliminate the enemy in front of them except for 1 AA gun. They have so many tanks to hit 1 AA gun and they tell me they are under heavy resistance.

One last thing, in H.A.W.X there are a lot of stuffs and lots of plane to be use. However, you will have to level up from 1 to 40 in order to get all this goodies. Leveling up from 1 - 20 is pretty easy especially when you have multiplayer. However it will become increasingly difficult to level up and you will be like "Come on ! I want my plane !!!! GIVE IT TO ME !!! FASTER LEVEL !!!" This system just bores in the player in the long run. It would be better if it is like Ace Combat where you actually buy the planes and weapons.

Well, that is pretty much about H.A.W.X for me. If you would like to know more, you can go on youtube and search for the gameplay. If you would like to have another player review about it. This can be a perfect game but it still have a lot to improve but I don't think there will be a H.A.W.X 2.

Ok...I have some time left now before i go to sleep. I am going to have a meeting at Yew Tee Mac tomorrow at 0930 for the District Skill Event Day. Don't know if they will be on time or what....just hope that they don't waste my time because i still have work tomorrow. Seriously, I think that this event will be going to be another sure fail event. However, since this might contribute to the Frank Cooper Sands....why not ? So, I am part of the committee and I wondering what department am I in ? None of my Ventures is taking the shit, so here i am, a few hours later taking the shit.

Anyways, this few days i am spending quite some time play a new game. Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. (High Altitude Warfare Experimental Squadron) Next time, I will give a short review about it. Haha, now no time. It's pretty fun though. The missions are boring.....yeah. However, I think that the multiplayer part compensate it. In my opinion, the online mode is just fun. I am not fighting with lousy Ai fighter jets. I am fighting people controlled fighter jets like me. The level of fun and challenge just shoots up.

Alright, DEAD ! DEAD ! DEAD ! DEAD ! DEAD !!!!!

My blog is dead for quite some time.....because I got almost nothing to update ! Well, working is taking up most of my time.....the same old pattern repeats itself 1 year ago. Wake up, eat, work, go back, sleep, repeat. Have to work, my motivation is the money. $40 a day might be little to some but heck, I will still be getting hundreds.

Anyway, A few days ago was the Job week and Annual Scout and Guides camp. For job week, in my opinion, this year is a little bit harder to do. Maybe due to the economy recession. In total, the Ventures only managed to get $700+ with 3 people.....and amount raised for the fund itself is like $350. Very, very little.

As for the camp, it is pretty much of a slack camp for the Ventures. However, we managed to succeed in some of the experiment in backwoodsman cooking. Well, it was the slack part that made it fun. This is the FIRST time, I have seen the F&B trying so hard to clear their stock. Ask Ventures clear bread and milo...... -.- I never thought that I managed to get out of there alive. (Lol, just kidding.) Also, it is the FIRST TIME I have a lights out at 1900 !!!! It's like wtf ??? 1900 ? The earliest I slept is like 2100, this created a new record. lol.

Hmmmm, maybe got camp pictures.....maybe I will try searching around for it. Maybe.

I am back to update. The reason why I am not updating very often now is because I am working ! Furthermore, I am sick. =) So never mind about that. I am here to update on my personal hanger again ! This time, Hobby Boss, 1/48 Rafale M ! This plane is one of my best so far. It is spray painted in total RAF medium sea gray with the panel lines done.

It's been a long time since i last updated. I have been busy working this few days. Start work at 1330 and end at 2130, by the time i reached home, it is already like 2230 or 2330. So there isn't much free time for me now. However, i am willing to do so because i earn money from it. =)

I have been assembling a Rafale M 1/48 plastic model and it is almost complete. Just left the canopy, pylons and weapon. However, the progress for making the plane has stop because i am working....so, maybe i will post a picture of the Rafale a few days later. Yes, i am tired, the same old me during the normal school days.

Another thing about the JAE thingy. I was posted to Ngee Ann Polytechnic Aerospace Technology. Haha, i was so darn nervous that i couldn't get in. So ya, wish fulfilled. lol. =)

Ok, Happy Chinese New Year ! Another occasion where i will do the same thing for a number of times ! Go to relative's house, sit down, eat, play psp, leave the talking to the adults, get the ang bao, move. There isn't much fun at all for me during this "happy" and "fun" Chinese New Year. Anyway, I hope that luck will be on my side when i need it once again. =)

The new LCD TV that my parents bought just arrived 2 days ago and it's on full HD. So when it's on full HD, what do i do ? Take the PS3 and plug it in. The colors is just....wow. Amazing. Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 4 and the other games i have became even beautiful. Haha.

Nothing much to update about though. Thought that i should put a new entry to put some life into this blog.

Hmm, I just got my result back a few days ago. I was surprised and again, disappointed. I failed to live up to my own expectations. I was surprised that I actually got an A2 for Geography. During the 'O' level, I was staring at the paper and writing on my own instinct as I was pretty confused at that point of time. I actually PASS E. Maths and English ! First time getting a B3 for English and E. Maths too ! HURRAH !

Another subject that surprised me was my Science. I mean, I was like "Omg, This is it. I am done for. For the first time in my life I am going to get C5 for Science" I left the entire Chemistry first page BLANK after I wrote Chlorine because I do not know the uses for other chemical. Plus, there are 2 pages that I don't know how to do, so I just pray and write. In Physics Practical, I don't know what in the world is going on and god ! Who knows it,I managed to calculate something nice. The Gravitational Force of Earth is 36000 G. I should be dead by now if it is really 36000 G. In the end what happen ? A2. Wow. That's surprising.

Then again,I was disappointed because I didn't get more A.

IN ADDITION, I took the GOD DAMN F*** Chinese 'O' level paper for FOUR DAMN TIMES and the results I got was another FOR F**K SAKE B3 !!! What the hell is going on ! Am i really fated to have a B3 for my Chinese !? and YES ! For FOUR F**K time i got B3 B3 B3 AND F*** B3 ! My Oral and Listening ? DISTINCTION ! FOR BOTH TIMES AND THE RESULTS I HAVE COLLECTED ? B3 Distinction B3 Distinction B3 Distinction and ANOTHER FOR F*** SAKE B3 Distinction !!!! Ohhh the Heaven ! Why are you so cruel to me ??? -_-

Anyway, I am going to apply for Aerospace tech in NP and Aeronautical in SP and I pray to every single god of every single religion. If there is really a god up there and a man is in need. I am Him. Please ! Heed my Prayers !

I am back and today's update is on Minghan's personal Model Hanger ! My very own Airplane self assemble plastic models. Recently I have resume production and continue on my 1/72 Academy F-18C Hornet. This is a picture taken a few days ago and the exact state where i have stop for a few months.

As i mentioned earlier, I have resume the construction process and I spent 2 days and turned it into the current state. It is not exactly complete however i felt that it is worthy of been posted on the blog. Here are the pictures !!

I have tried quite a number of new things on this aircraft. This is the first time I applied decals on a airplane. The first time I applied gloss. First time I spent a lot of time on and the first time i actually try to paint the panel lines. It turns out to be pretty good, in my opinion. (And it doesn't like like a self assemble kit to me. More like a diecast model. -.-)

My "christmas present" has finally arrived ! The RPG game Valkyrie Profile 2 for PS2 ! Ya, i know. It is a game that was released a few years back and it's on PS2. However, my PS3 is able to play PS2 games and i get to enjoy the game. (YAY !! XD) SO, HURRAH !!! Haha !

Back here for the first update for 2009 ! Yesterday was the school's march back and I slept at home, didn't really feel like going for it. However, I went to school at 2pm for a Scout meeting which turns out to be nothing in the end. What do i mean ?

Wen Hao asked me to call him. I did it and I have to inform the all ventures for the meeting yesterday. All of us came and we were sitting down there, doing nothing, listening to the campfire meeting stuffs that we are not aware and involved in. In the end, my ventures ask me why are we here. I asked Wen Hao why are we here. Wen Hao asked Lian Kwee why are they here. In the end, it turns out that Lian Kwee asked Wen Hao to ask me to call all ventures for the campfire NEXT friday. -_-

Anyway, I bought a Gloss Spray for my plastic models and tried it out on my currently assembling F-18 Hornet. It turns out to be pretty good ! The F-18 was very smooth and it shines. I tried to put the decal on it and then gloss the whole thing again and the effects was great ! The decals actually looks like it was painted on the model itself. This is the first time I have succeeded in assembling such a nice plane and the first time I spent so much time, putting the details on it. I should be completing the model soon. I think.

Well, just start of the year and problems came, BIG ONE. So i guess Fate is really planning to go rough on me this year. This time, I have to solve this problem and by any means necessary. Even if i have to forsake my honor and pride.

With sacrifices, comes rewards. It is just a matter of whether the sacrifice is big and are you willing to do it, just like a transaction. So I have been doing some thinking and have been asking myself.

If you want the reward you want, must you give up things that you consider important to you ? Your happiness ? Your values ? Must you be a puppet to others so that you can get what you want ? In order to get it, must you get it by any means necessary ?
Or ultimately, must you forsake the things that make who you are, destroying the very person that you call "I","Me" and "Myself" ?

To survive, you must bow down to every single one superior to you , stand your ground and defending your own rights and defying everything, treating no one as superior or hating every single thing in the world ?

Sacrificing one for the benefits of others....I have been doing that for years and years. However, this value that was once in me is sealed. Is there really joy in doing that ? Is there anything that is worth to be happy about when you help them and most of the time they don't care or know it. Is it really important to have Trust when people don't give a shit about you ?

If there is really a god up there regardless of religion and if there is a man in need, I am Him. Please heed my prayers, grant me to power to manipulate, strength in order to overcome any obstacles to come.

Valkyrie Profile

This post is about the game Valkyrie Profile. Originally a game created for PSX (PS1) and was remake for PSP. I played this game with the PSP last year and completed it. Recently I was bored and I played it again. Both times I play, both time I "fell in love" with the game. The game is just great that it doesn't feel old even though I played it before.

STORY
You play as the Lenneth Valkyrie, Chooser of the Slain or Battle Maiden. Out of the 3 Valkyrie, she is the middle child and strongest. (Stated by Lord Odin himself) So in game, Lord Odin heard that Ragnarok, the End of World, is coming and requires warriors for the upcoming war. You, as a Valkyrie, must down to Midgard (Earth) and collect souls of heroes that die. They are known as Einherjar. They serve as warriors and will be send up to Valhalla. However, that is much more to the story than this. There are 3 endings, A (Best),B and C (More like a Game over)

There will be some things that you will need to do in order to get the A ending and the full story of the game will be there.

Battle System
Here is a picture of the Battle

The battle is conducted in a turn by turn basis. That means, your party hit, turn end, enemy hit, turn end, repeat. You control your party with the four buttons and the character will attack according to the button pressed. The amount of time they attack depends on the weapon itself (Up to a maximum of 3 times). Also, you will be able to perform Purify Weird Soul, PWS (Finishing moves) when the gauge besides the hit counters hit 100. PWS can be really powerful and spectacular. =) Button Mashing is a no go because the characters attacks differently. For example, A hits the enemy in the air, B slides but never hit the enemy. So it is better for B to slide first before hitting the enemy up into the air. Timing is pretty important. There are more things that affect the tide of battle but this are the basics.

Music
The song "The Unfinished Battle with God Syndrome" is place in my playlist. It is a official arrangement of the song Fighting the Shadowy Gods. Fighting the Shadowy Gods is the battle song for the battles, so the one in my playlist is pretty similar to it but nicer in my opinion. The musics are quite nice and it fits the game pretty well. Besides, FIRST TIME I GOT TECHNO MUSIC IN MY PLAYLIST !!!

The one with the wings is Silmeria, the youngest. She is the kindest of all three. The one with sliver hair is Lenneth, the middle child and the one you will be playing as. =D

Haha, i guess that i am back into the Valkyrie Profile craze. My bro just bought Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria and is on the way from America. XD

And here I am ! Back to update to this blog ! Well, this few days i am having quite a little fun. Not only playing Fallout 3, i just bought a new game titled "Left 4 Dead". It's a game that emphasize on cooperation as you and 3 other people (Player or AI) complete the level while fighting off the zombie horde. I do not really know what is the story about but it seems like an infection which cause people to be zombie like. HELL ! No way, you are going to rush in like Rambo with guns blazing against an entire city of zombies. You will be dead within minutes. You really got to rely on your team mates while you are healing yourself, saving one of your fallen team mates, killing special infected zombies, taking down a HUGE BIG MOMMA JOMBA Tank, freeing you while you are either constricted by a Smoker or pinned down by a Hunter and of course, fighting off the huge amount of zombies. It's really quite a fun game and i had some good coop games with some of the players. Although I don't play horror games. L4D is not scary to me because i know i will have people playing and staying near me. Doesn't matter if it is an AI or player, i just feel safe with team mates during this kind of games.

I was searching for L4D in comics connection and looking for the standard packaging. I saw L4D and it was like so big, so i thought that was the mouse pad and not the game. I asked the staff and WOW ! It is the game. I was like "Wth ? This BIG ?" (The size of the package is the size of the file i used to bring along to school.) I opened it up when i got home and inside, it included a L4D mouse pad, poster and the game. It cost me $58 and i think it was worth it. Buy it on Steam and you get the game at $75 with nothing extra. (I think.)

Meanwhile, i am waiting, waiting, waiting and still waiting for a call from Mega Entertainment to say " HEY ! YOU ARE HIRED !" I really hope that i get the job. At least it beats staying at home and playing games all the time. It's fun but it is sapping my strength away day by day. Also, Scouting in my life is becoming increasing active. Well, hope that my Scouting Life will be better after the longgggg break i had from it.

I have been thinking of changing the picture i have at the top of my blog. Maybe i will put another jet fighter picture.

101th post ! Naw... actually not really that special. As mentioned in the previous post, i went to the National Patrol camp at Sarimbun Campsite today. This is the first time i ever took a bus there and the journey is like so long. >_> After i alight, i was prepared to walk the 1km + road to the campsite and WHO KNOWS WHAT KIND OF LUCK I HAVE TODAY ! I step on the road and saw one of the driver asking me "Eh, you going to Sarimbun ? Come, i give you a lift." Lol i reach there in like 3 mins. I will actually take like 15 mins to walk.

So reach there and i knew i was going there to load and unload our unit resources but no....i have to wait like 2 good hours before the damn lorry arrive. So meanwhile the BP scouts that went for the camp decided to move their resource to one place first. I helped them out. It seems that the holidays have sapped my strength.......I am having difficulty lifting up 10 spars ??? Last time 10 spar is like still manageable. Now i am having problem with it. The BP scouts over there was exhausted....and oh well, have to help them since i was called to help them. So after lorry came and we load the stuffs up. They were all like dying.

So we arrived at the new campus and the paint job is like so bright. Too colorful. We unload our stuffs and off we go for a meal. Haha, treated some for them. Well, they deserved it. =D

My blog has reach it's 100th post ! This is it ! The 100th !

Haha, actually i don't really care about this stuff. I just happen to see that i have 99 post in my blog. Besides i need to update blog. It's has been awhile since there was a major update. Also....i think i am too lazy to update my blog with prom night photos. I have like 30 over photos and i got to UPLOAD ! WAIT FOR A FEW MINS ! GET THE URL ! PASTE ! REPEAT 30 ++ times ! Sometimes, i mess up the URL and i got to redo. So, ya, it can be quite troublesome.

I have my finished my 'O' levels and guess what ? I have been getting lazier and lazier day by day. Everyday is the same old thing. I wake up, sit in front of the computer, play some games and sleep. At least, i have some new games that is keeping me from been bored. Also, i am waiting for the game HAWX ! It's a game about jet fighters and from the looks of it. It doesn't seems to lose to Ace Combat. Hope that the game won't disappoint me. Huh ? You want more information about it ? Go Google it. If i type it here, it's going to be WORDS, MORE WORDS, LOANS OF WORDS and....Words.

At least today is different. I went to Ummu's birthday party. Well, it's a BBQ and as usual, i didn't get to eat much and LUCKILY ! I bought some food before i went there because i knew i won't get to eat much. Can't really say it's fun but at least i step out of the house.

Tomorrow, i have to head to Sarimbun Campsite at Lim Chu Kang to move stuffs back to our new campus. Well, the National Patrol Camp require us to bring our own resource and we have to move it back ourselves too. Plus !!!! I am so happy that FINALLY someone in our class asked me to go to Sentosa on Wednesday. Meh...they always go out without me. So thanks !!!
